Job summary

Carmeuse is seeking a site leader to drive safety, operational performance, and regulatory compliance at a heavy manufacturing lime facility. You will oversee hourly staff, manage daily activities, and ensure continuous improvement across safety, quality, and environmental programs.

The role requires a technical degree or certificate plus 7+ years of supervisory experience in heavy industry. A rotating shift schedule is expected, with strong focus on problem solving and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a technical discipline or technical certificate, or related experience.
• Minimum 7 years of direct production supervisory experience in heavy manufacturing.
• Strong material management, results-driven, and self-starter.
• Positive, proactive attitude with problem-solving skills; follows directions.
• Detail- and process-oriented; basic understanding of SPC and Pareto analysis; kiln knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to ensure safety rules and regulations are followed.
• Communicate site targets and analyze gaps relative to sales, production and maintenance.
• Supervise hourly employees and ensure task completion.
• Support regulatory compliance with environmental regulations.
• Oversee loading, shipment, and distribution of materials.
• Input records into SAP and other systems; monitor data quality.
• Identify and mitigate safety and environmental risks; lead investigations as needed.
• Coordinate with union agreements and company policies.
• Participate in required meetings and safety/quality programs.
