Job summary

Novelis Ashville Plant is seeking an Operations Leader to manage site operations with emphasis on safety, quality, efficiency and continuous improvement. You will lead engaged teams and work across functions to meet production goals while upholding Novelis’ safety culture.

You will partner with Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Supply Chain, drive policies, and ensure alignment with union guidelines in a collaborative manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in engineering or related field or five to eight years of manufacturing experience.
• Experience supervising staff in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with measurable results.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to coordinate cross-functional activities across Production, Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain, and EH&S.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate site operations and lead safe, efficient continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coach and develop Operations team members to meet business objectives.
• Collaborate with Process, Engineering, Maintenance, and Operational Excellence teams to maximize performance.
• Partner with Supply Chain to optimize production schedules and customer fulfillment.
• Align with HR to reinforce team behaviors within a union environment.
• Drive short-term production plans and contribute to policy decisions.
• Develop, implement and improve operational policies and procedures.
• Promote safety, accountability and teamwork across the facility.
