Novelis Lincolnshire is seeking an Operations Coordinator to lead daily production activities, mentor plant staff, and drive operational excellence. You will partner with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering to meet safety, quality, productivity, and cost objectives while fostering continuous improvement and workforce development.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, process optimization, and the implementation of the Novelis Operating System (NOS) alongside SAP and Kronos.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 2–3 years of related supervisory experience.
• Experience leading employees in manufacturing or production settings.
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply safety rules, procedures, and production docs.
• Strong communication with cross‑functional partners and leadership.
• Experience developing and managing operational processes and procedures.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Office apps.
• Ability to work independently while leading teams toward objectives.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Promote safety culture and ensure compliance with EH&S and company policies.
• Schedule, direct, and support production activities to meet goals.
• Coach and develop employees for safe, efficient operation.
• Monitor material availability and production requirements for continuity.
• Coordinate material deliveries and optimize flow throughout the facility.
• Lead training on new processes, equipment, and systems (e.g., Kronos, SAP, NOS).
• Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
• Communicate requirements and work instructions to staff.
• Support furnace operations and process optimization to improve recoveries.
• Investigate issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
