Job summary

Novelis Ashville is seeking an Operations Training Coordinator to drive the Education & Training (E&T) system in alignment with NOS CI programs. You will identify training needs tied to losses, manage LMS, and support compliance training across multiple departments.

Join a team focused on continuous improvement, develop curricula with SMEs, and ensure training effectiveness while coordinating with local and corporate leaders. Travel to other plants may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years delivering or coordinating adult learning/training, preferably in manufacturing.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills with cross‑functional collaboration.
• Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail.
• Hands‑on experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and quick to learn new software.

Responsibilities

• Link training to losses and plant KPIs using root cause analysis and KPI trees.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Reliability, Production, QA, SCM, HR to build training plans by work center.
• Work with EHS for mandatory compliance training efforts.
• Coordinate new-hire integration and scheduling of assessments.
• Maintain the LMS (assignments, records, certifications) and training reports.
• Support corporate learning and development for training compliance (e.g., Cornerstone).
• Facilitate communications with work centers and coordinate team meetings.
• Support change management, strategic planning, and audits of training systems.
• Develop and validate training projects and materials.
