Job summary

Matheson Tri-Gas is seeking a siteOperations leader responsible for all aspects of location operations, safety, staffing, and customer service in collaboration with Sales and Supply Chain teams. The role oversees packaged gas and welding product sales, cylinder production and distribution.

The position requires a broad skill set in safety, regulatory compliance, and people leadership, with a focus on delivering exceptional service and efficiency at the Texas site.

Qualifications

  • Strong mathematical skills including fractions, percentages, and ratios.
  • Problem solving and reasoning abilities; ability to work in a matrix environment.

Job description

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for all aspects of the site (location, branch) operations; safety, staffing and customer service functions working in conjunction with the Sales and Supply Chain teams.

Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000 + 10% Bonus

Essential Functions

Leads the local team to manage the safety/compliance performance, packaged gas sales, welding products and hard goods sales, cylinder production and distribution.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS - Ability to apply basic concepts of algebra and geometry such as fractions, percentages, ratios, volume and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY - Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. - Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. - Ability to work in a Matrix environment.

Work Experience
  • 1-3 years
  • 4-6 years
  • 7-9 years: Five to Ten years related experience and/or training preferably in site/branch operations and/or package gas operations in the industrial gas industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS - Valid Driver's License - Hazardous Materials training OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES - Ability to proficiently display computer software skills with programs such Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. - Hands on understanding of industrial gas products, production, and distribution applications, and associated equipment. - Working knowledge of Six Sigma and lean manufacturing practices. - Training in Safety and Compliance (OSHA, DOT, EPA, and FDA)
