Matheson Tri-Gas in Newark, CA is seeking a Sales Support Supervisor to lead the local Customer Service Representatives and Site Service Technicians, ensuring safety, accurate orders, pricing, and inventory while supporting Outside Sales through the RGM and Supply Chain teams.
The ideal candidate has 5–10 years in site/branch operations or package gas operations, a Bachelor's degree preferred, and Hazardous Materials training. Proficiency in MS Office and strong communication are essential.
Working in conjunction with the HUB Plant Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the sales support function of the Newark facility (Newark, CA). The role manages key components of the sales process including accurate order entry, servicing the end user, correct pricing, inventory levels, overall customer satisfaction, safety of all associates, staffing of the customer service team, and supporting the Outside Sales Representatives through the RGM and Supply Chain teams.
Lead the local team of Customer Service Representatives and Site Service Technicians to manage safety/compliance performance, packaged gas sales, welding products and hard goods sales. Communicate the needs of end users and collaborate with the HUB plant manager to meet or exceed expectations. Perform other duties as assigned and comply with all policies and standards.

The work environment includes occasional exposure to outside weather conditions (e.g., traveling to customer sites), moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles (e.g., in warehouse, at customer sites). Noise levels are usually moderate.
Bachelor’s degree from a four‑year college or university preferred; experience may substitute where appropriate.
Five to ten years of related experience and/or training preferably in site/branch operations or package gas operations in the industrial gas industry; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Hazardous Materials training. Reliable transportation to travel to assigned work locations and customer sites.
$75,000 to $85,000 DOE.
Occasional travel.
