Job summary

Covenant Contracting in the Southeast US is seeking a site manager to oversee construction projects from planning to completion. You will direct on-site activities, ensure safety and quality, manage budgets and documentation, and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and suppliers.

The role requires 3+ years in construction project or site management, knowledge of codes and safety regs, leadership, and scheduling tool proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering or related field is a plus but not required.
• 3+ years of experience in construction project and or site management.
• In-depth knowledge of construction processes, building codes, safety regulations and quality standards in southeast US.
• Familiarity with local building codes and regulation.
• Familiarity with project management software and scheduling tools (ACC, PlanGrid, CAD & Bluebeam).
• Strong leadership and team management abilities, with the capacity to motivate and inspire a diverse project team.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to effectively address challenges and make sound judgments.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of construction projects from planning to completion.
• Develop and manage detailed project schedules and monitor progress against timelines.
• Coordinate on-site activities including material procurement and subcontractor management.
• Monitor budgets and financial performance, addressing deviations and risk.
• Conduct regular site inspections for safety, quality and specifications.
• Maintain accurate project documentation: records, reports, change orders and as-builts.
• Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers and stakeholders to meet project requirements and ensure client satisfaction.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the team and foster a productive work environment.
• Resolve issues or conflicts on site and escalate when necessary.
• Stay updated on industry trends and identify opportunities for process improvements.
