Job summary

Trellis Mgmt in Minneapolis is seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee a 248-unit apartment community, ensuring residents have a safe, clean, and functional home. The role involves leasing, rent collection, staff supervision, and coordination with subsidy programs, serving a diverse resident population.

Ideal candidates have 5 years of property management experience, strong customer service and communication skills, and the ability to work with service providers and complex residency

Qualifications

• 5 years of property management experience including leasing, staff supervision, coordinating with service providers, and experience with Coordinated Entry and income-restricted housing.
• Excellent customer service, strong administrative/clerical abilities, and strong verbal and written communication, plus organizational and multitasking skills.

Responsibilities

• Rent collection: receive and deposit rent payments and issue late notices.
• Staff supervision: monitor performance and approve timecards.
• Leasing: market the property and guide applicants from tours to move-in.
• Certifications: process paperwork for subsidy programs.
• Oversee property: ensure a safe, clean, and functional environment for residents and staff.

The Role:

You will be the backbone of a 248-unit apartment community in Minneapolis, ensuring our residents have a safe, clean, and functional place to live. Project Base Section 8 and Tax Credit combo. The ideal candidate must be skilled in working with client services and a diverse population to include long-term homeless and disabled clients. We encourage candidates who are bilingual in English and Somali to apply, as this is helpful in serving our resident population. Availability to work some Saturdays. Your day-to-day will involve:

• Rent Collection: Receive and deposit rent payments & initiate late rent notices
• Staff Supervision: Monitor performance & approve timecards
• Leasing: Market property and work with applicants from tours through move-in
• Certifications: Process paperwork in accordance with subsidy programs
• Oversee Property: Ensure a clean, safe environment is provided for residents and staff

Requirements

What We're Looking For:

• Experience: 5 years of property management experience that included leasing, staff supervision, working with service providers, long-term homeless and Coordinated Entry and some Income Restriction.
• Skills: Excellent customer service, administrative, clerical, verbal and written communication skills, along with strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize as well as multi-task.
• Licensing: Valid Driver's License, insurance and a reliable vehicle are a must.
• Software Programs: Yardi & Rent Café experience a plus.
