Reporting Line

This position reports to: Project Operations Manager

Your Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you will lead all on-site activities of medium to large projects, ensuring cost-effective execution according to contract specifications, quality standards, schedule, and safety requirements. You will lead the site team, define main guidelines, and allocate tasks.

The work model for this role is: #LI-remote. It contributes to the Electrification Smart Power division in North America.

You will be mainly accountable for:

1. Planning project on-site activities with the Site Team Lead, including resources, equipment, and milestones.
2. Coordinating agreements between customers and external resources on construction targets, health and safety, site organization, and policies.
3. Managing the handover process from the site Project Manager to the end customer upon project completion, coordinating all activities for start-up, construction, erection, testing, and commissioning.
4. Representing the project by building and maintaining effective customer relationships.
5. Ensuring a detailed and compliant site Health & Safety plan is in place, training resources on policies, and promoting safety considerations throughout the project.
6. Handling, storing, and installing ABB equipment properly, coordinating logistics for timely delivery.
7. Managing subcontractors to meet quality and delivery standards.

Qualifications

• College degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 8+ years of service project experience with an electrical OEM, including leading long-term field assignments and quality assurance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, with ability to write test plans and reports.
• Willingness to travel 60% within North America and stay away from home for extended periods.
• Strong understanding of UPS, STS, and PDU equipment site commissioning and engineered solutions oversight.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary electrical site teams and third-party contractors.
• Ability to coordinate on-site commissioning and repair activities, ensuring safety and contractual compliance, and mentoring onsite technicians.
• Must have valid work authorization for the US.
