This position reports to: Project Operations Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will lead all on-site activities of medium to large projects, ensuring cost-effective execution in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, schedule, and safety requirements. You will lead the site team, define main guidelines, and allocate tasks. The work model for this role is: #LI-remote. This position contributes to the Electrification Smart Power division in North America. Your main responsibilities include:

  1. Planning project on-site activities with the Site Team Lead, including resources, equipment, and milestones.
  2. Coordinating agreements with customers and external resources on construction targets, health and safety, site organization, and policies.
  3. Managing the handover process to the end customer upon project completion, ensuring successful execution of start-up, construction, erection, testing, and commissioning activities.
  4. Building and maintaining effective relationships with customers as a project representative.
  5. Ensuring a detailed, up-to-date site Health & Safety (H&S) plan is in place and compliant, with all resources trained on company policies and proactive safety promotion.
  6. Handling, storing, and installing ABB equipment properly, coordinating logistics for timely delivery.
  7. Managing subcontractors on site to meet quality and delivery standards.
Qualifications for the role
  • College degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 8+ years of service project experience with an electrical OEM, including leading long-term field assignments and quality assurance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, with experience in writing test plans and reports.
  • Ability to travel 60% within North America and stay away from home for extended periods.
  • Strong understanding of UPS, STS, and PDU equipment site commissioning and engineered solutions oversight.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary electrical site teams and third-party contractors.
  • Ability to coordinate commissioning and repair activities, implement test and startup plans, and mentor onsite technicians.
  • Must have valid work authorization for the US.
