Job summary

General Motors Company in Flint, MI seeks a Site Leader to direct the Flint, MI CCA operation, a complex integrated plant combining sheet-metal processing, painting, warehousing, dealer-direct activity, and redistribution.

The role oversees a ~350-person site and 31 salaried leaders, driving safety, quality, cost, and delivery while building a high-performance culture on the shop floor and across departments.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive leadership in manufacturing, processing, warehousing, distribution, logistics, or other high-volume environments.
• Track record delivering safety, environmental compliance, quality, delivery, cost, productivity, and employee engagement.
• Experience leading complex operations involving manufacturing/processing, paint/chemical controls, warehousing, material flow, transportation, or customer fulfillment.
• Experience leading salaried and hourly teams, partnering with unions, developing leaders, and driving change.
• Budgets, staffing, maintenance, capital priorities, operations metrics, and continuous improvement; data-driven KPI usage.
• Strong analytical, decision-making, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Own safety, environmental compliance, quality, cost, delivery, productivity, and employee engagement across the site.
• Lead a ~350-person workforce and develop 31 salaried leaders through accountability and engagement.
• Provide strategic leadership for sheet-metal processing, paint operations, warehousing, dealer-direct activity, and redistribution work.
• Drive operational excellence through standard work, lean methods, and continuous improvement.
• Maintain paint-process controls (ELPO/e-coat, sealer, booth, topcoat) and environmental stewardship for wastewater and chemicals.
• Use operating data/KPIs to improve volume, productivity, labor, overtime, quality, service, and cost.
• Collaborate with labor representatives, engineering, quality, EHS, supply chain, HR, finance, and other functions.
