Job summary

General Motors is seeking a Lead Engineer for the Flint Truck Assembly Paint Shop to oversee all process engineering functions and lead a team of Process Engineers across a three‑shift operation.

You will own technical ownership of Paint Shop processes and drive TIP optimization, manage ISO 9001 documentation, coordinate maintenance, and lead color launches and program changes to ensure production quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience with industrial automation or controls systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach Process Engineers across three shifts.
• Own technical authority for Paint Shop processes, equipment and standards.
• Drive Throughput Improvement Process (TIP) optimization for efficiency and quality.
• Coordinate preventative maintenance with cross-functional teams.
