Job summary

General Motors Company seeks a Site Leader for the Flint, MI CCA operation. You will drive safety, quality, cost, and engagement across a complex, integrated processing-and-paint site with ~350 frontline staff and 31 salaried leaders.

You’ll lead lean initiatives, standardized work, and continuous improvement while partnering with labor, engineering, and finance to meet GM business goals. On-site, shift-based, with extended hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree; advanced degrees or relevant certifications are a plus.
• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing, processing, warehousing, distribution, logistics, or another high-volume operating environment.
• Proven track record delivering safety, environmental compliance, quality, delivery, cost, productivity, and employee engagement.

Responsibilities

• Own safety, environmental compliance, quality, cost, delivery, productivity, and employee engagement for the site.
• Lead a workforce of approximately 350 employees and 31 salaried team members.
• Drive operational excellence through planning, standardized work, lean methods, and change leadership.
• Maintain robust paint-process controls and environmental stewardship.
• Use operating data/KPIs to improve volume, productivity, labor utilization, and cost.
• Collaborate with labor representatives and business stakeholders and manage staffing, maintenance, and capital priorities.
