Job summary

PACE Education seeks a qualified Center Director/Supervisor to oversee program operations, curriculum, meals, and family engagement at a California site. The role requires a Bachelor’s in ECE, a Site Supervisor Permit, and several years of licensed child care experience.

The incumbent will ensure compliance with Head Start standards, manage records, and support staff with conferences, home visits, and daily classroom activities to foster child development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or related field is required.
• Valid and current Child Development Site Supervisor Permit or higher.
• Total of 6 infant/toddler development units; 3 units must be presented at hire.
• 3+ years as a paid teacher in a licensed child care center serving children under 5.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and assessments.
• Communicate with parents about progress and attendance records.
• Maintain safe, healthy learning environments and enforce safety checks.
• Lead parent/teacher conferences and home visits as required.
• Support and coordinate with teaching staff and substitute as needed.
