Job summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific in Massachusetts is seeking a supervisor to direct daily workflow for a small on-site lab services team, ensuring high levels of customer service in line with contractual obligations. You will oversee order/stockroom/dock management, procurement, material handling, chemical tracking, glass wash, and cell culture support operations.

You will lead a diverse team, manage hiring and training, coordinate performance evaluations, monitor business metrics, and act as the site

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in material handling or related field.
• GMP experience is a requirement for the role.
• Experience with IATA/DOT Hazardous Goods certification is a plus; knowledge of OSHA General Industry requirements is also a plus.
• Strong leadership and communication skills; ability to manage cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead a diverse cross-functional on-site team and manage employee lifecycle (hiring, training, evaluations).
• Deliver on contractual scope of work and assist with tracking business metrics.
• Act as liaison between customer and Thermo Fisher Scientific; coordinate onsite vendor escorting and visits.
• Implement SOPs, conduct site audits, and assist with annual physical inventory.
• Drive process improvement and support safety programs; represent Thermo Fisher at customer sites.
