Job summary

Meals on Wheels People at the Ambleside Center in Gresham is seeking a Site/Kitchen Coordinator to oversee in-person meal service for older adults, including menu planning, meal preparation, and supervising volunteers.

You'll support home-delivery and congregate programs, ensure sanitation and safety, and help coordinate hunger-relief efforts while working in a collaborative environment with professional development and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required; Associate Degree or certification in Culinary Arts preferred.
• First Aid and CPR certification or ability to obtain within six months.
• Demonstrated knowledge of food service standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee in-person meal service for older adults, including menu planning, meal preparation, and volunteer coordination.
• Manage and supervise kitchen and dining volunteers; ensure accurate volunteer hours.
• Support supplemental nutrition programs for home delivery and congregate clients and coordinate responsive services for food insecure populations.
• Maintain high kitchen sanitation and safety standards; assist with health inspections and audits.
