Job summary

Major Tool & Machine (MTM), a Precinmac company, seeks an IT Manager to lead the site IT team and oversee server, AD, and virtualization operations at the Indianapolis site. The role emphasizes security, reliability, and alignment with corporate IT initiatives.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in Windows Server, AD, Azure, Intune, and 6S/Lean practices, with strong communication and project management skills. Onsite work with occasional travel is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related discipline preferred.
• 7+ years of system administration experience (Windows Server, AD, Azure, Intune, Defender, etc.) and virtualization.
• 5+ years in IT team leadership or supervision.
• Strong networking fundamentals and ability to work on site with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop an IT team at the Major Tool site.
• Own site level system administration for Windows Server, Active Directory, virtualization, and backup/recovery.
• Manage network infrastructure including switches, firewalls, wireless, and site connectivity to the corporate WAN.
• Maintain and assist with endpoint management, patching, and security coverage across site systems.
