Job summary

KODIAK Construction Recruiting & Staffing is seeking an experienced Site HR Business Partner to support a growing manufacturing operation in Houston, Texas. You\'ll partner with plant leadership to build an engaged workforce, drive employee relations, and support operational excellence across a multi-shift environment.

This role emphasizes hands-on presence on the production floor, strong relationships with employees and leaders, and a tangible impact on the business.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive HR experience in manufacturing/production.
• Strong employee relations experience including investigations and coaching.
• Experience supporting hourly workforces and partnering with operations.
• Knowledge of FMLA, ADA, FLSA, EEOC.
• SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary HR partner for site leadership and employees.
• Lead employee relations activities, including investigations, conflict resolution, corrective actions, and leadership coaching.
• Partner with operations leaders on workforce planning, staffing, retention, and employee engagement initiatives.
• Maintain a strong presence on the production floor to understand workforce needs and build trust with employees.
• Support onboarding, performance management, succession planning, and leadership development.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, company policies, and HR best practices.
• Manage HR processes including attendance, leaves of absence, accommodations, and personnel records.
• Partner with Talent Acquisition to support hiring for hourly, skilled trades, and salaried positions.
• Utilize HR metrics and workforce data to identify trends and drive continuous improvement.

• Experience supporting hourly workforces and partnering closely with operations leadership.
• Knowledge of employment laws including FMLA, ADA, FLSA, and EEOC.
• Experience supporting multi-shift operations is highly preferred.
• SHRM-CP/SCP, PHR/SPHR certification is a plus.
• Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 annually
