Responsibilities include reading plans, coordinating with the Project Manager, taking off quantities, ordering materials, and maintaining equipment and site safety. Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand project plans and specs.
• Effective communication with crew, management and office staff.
• Excellent problem solving and multi-tasking abilities.
• Ability to train and coach upcoming laborers.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand project plans and specifications.
• Direct a crew in a safe and efficient manner.
• Complete the Daily Project Report and email to administration and PM.
• Identify and locate underground or overhead utilities before start.
• Accurately do take-offs and order materials.
• Maintain all equipment and trucks on-site.
• Coordinate site activities with the Project Manager.
• Delegate tasks to crew on-site.
• Ensure fuel, grease, etc. are on-site for equipment and trucks.
• Verify project follows plans and specs.
• Report incidents/injuries/complaints to Equipment Manager and HR.
• Plan for next day; maintain a daily task list.
