Job summary

Procon, Inc. in Virginia, Rocky Mount seeks a skilled carpenter with leadership experience to join the site crew. The role requires OSHA 30 certification, 3 years of senior carpentry, and ability to read plans and communicate in English and Spanish.

You will work on concrete, forms, rebar, and equipment operations under the supervisor’s direction. The position emphasizes safety, efficiency, and teamwork, with responsibilities including tool inspection, plan review, and on-site mentoring of crew

Qualifications

OSHA 30 certification required.
3 years of senior carpentry experience required.
Ability to speak, read and understand English and Spanish.
Ability to read and understand basic plans/drawings.
Low level computer/technology skills required.
Moderate leadership skills required.

Responsibilities

Work closely with superintendent on job site to perform tasks safely, efficiently, on time, and under budget.
Review plans and specs for inaccuracies and needed corrections.
Direct and train others in safe completion of simple excavating operations and material placement.
Direct and perform proper installation of rebar according to plans and specs.
Direct and perform installation of forms; ensure plumb, square forms.
Assist in placement, grading, finishing of concrete and ensure slump is correct.
Maintain a clean, safe, organized job site and promote safety practices.
Coordinate with superintendent on tasks, daily goals, and budgeted time.
Ensure equipment operation is conducted by qualified personnel and pre-trip inspections are done.
