Job summary

SC Johnson in Racine, WI seeks an Associate Manager, Site Engineering to lead capital equipment projects and site improvements. You’ll partner with Maintenance, Manufacturing Operations, Safety, Learning & Development, and Lean teams to implement new processes safely and efficiently.

The role emphasizes cost control, process optimization, and mentorship, with travel up to 5-10% and occasional night/weekend work; remote work is not offered. A PE license in Wisconsin is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of capital project experience in manufacturing.
• PE license in Wisconsin preferred or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Manage new equipment capital projects from concept through startup.
• Develop budgets, obtain funding, manage costs across projects.
• Develop equipment/process specs using standard work processes.
• Drive cost-saving and productivity improvements for existing equipment.
• Collaborate with R&D, procurement and process development on new products.
• Develop site standards and best practices for equipment and processes.
• Participate in capital planning and strategic equipment planning.
• Mentor peers and ensure compliance with safety and standards.
