Job summary

SC Johnson is seeking an Associate Manager, Site Engineering to lead capital equipment projects and drive operational improvements across manufacturing operations. You will work with Maintenance, Manufacturing Operations, Safety, Learning & Development, and Lean teams to implement new processes with precision and measurable impact.

The role focuses on safety, quality, cost, and productivity, with opportunities to mentor peers and influence site-wide standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related manufacturing discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience managing capital projects in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in consumer-packaged goods, food and beverage, chemical, pharmaceutical, or similar high-volume manufacturing.
• Experience specifying custom equipment to meet project objectives.

Responsibilities

• Manage new equipment capital projects from concept through startup.
• Develop budgets and manage project costs.
• Develop equipment/process specs using SCJ engineering work process.
• Identify and implement cost-saving projects and productivity improvements.
• Collaborate with R&D, procurement, and process development during new product launches.
• Develop site equipment standards and best practices.
• Participate in capital planning and strategic equipment planning.
• Mentor peers and ensure compliance with SCJ standards.
