Job summary

SC Johnson in Racine, WI, seeks an Associate Manager, Site Engineering to lead capital equipment projects and process improvements across manufacturing. You will work with Maintenance, Manufacturing Operations, Safety, Learning & Development, and Lean teams to implement new processes precisely and drive safety, quality, cost, and productivity gains.

You will manage budgets, develop equipment specs, and mentor peers while ensuring compliance with SCJ standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related manufacturing/industrial discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years managing capital projects in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in consumer-packaged goods, food and beverage, chemical, pharmaceutical, or similar high-volume manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Manage capital projects from concept through startup.
• Develop project budgets and manage costs across the project life cycle.
• Develop equipment and process specifications for new equipment using established work processes.
• Drive cost-saving projects and productivity improvements in existing operations.
• Collaborate with R&D, procurement, and process development during new product launches.
• Develop site standards and best practices for equipment and processes.
• Participate in capital planning and strategic equipment planning.
• Mentor peers and ensure compliance with SCJ standards.
