Job summary

SC Johnson Lifestyle Brands in Chicago is seeking a Manufacturing Excellence Lead to drive the site’s continuous improvement strategy, eliminate losses and boost safety, quality, service, cost and productivity.

You will lead diagnostics, root-cause analysis, and TPM/L Lean initiatives across Operations, Engineering, Quality, Safety and Finance, building leadership capability and delivering measurable improvements on the plant floor.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in engineering, operations, supply chain, business or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of manufacturing, operations or continuous improvement experience, including Lean/TPM/WCM initiatives with measurable results.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States now and in the future without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Own the Southside Soapbox continuous improvement strategy and roadmap, prioritizing the site’s largest loss-elimination opportunities and driving measurable results.
• Lead plant diagnostics and loss analysis using KPIs and data to improve downtime, OEE, schedule adherence, scrap, productivity and cost.
• Strengthen the site’s Lean and TPM management system, including Daily Management, 5S, visual management, standard work, center lining and problem solving.
• Lead structured problem solving, kaizen and loss-elimination efforts, building leadership capability to sustain improvements.
• Partner with Operations and cross-functional leaders to align priorities and translate improvements into executable plans.
• Leverage Redzone, analytics and approved AI tools to identify trends and turn data into actionable insights; coordinate with Finance.
