Job summary

Sterling Industrial, LLC. seeks an experienced Safety Professional to lead and support site safety initiatives at our Indiana operations. You will conduct inspections, implement corrective actions, and drive training across the workforce to ensure compliance with OSHA requirements.

The role requires 5+ years in industrial safety, strong leadership, and excellent communication skills. A related degree and recognized certifications are preferred, with a focus on continuous safety improvement.

Qualifications

• A 4-year or 2-year degree in health and safety or related field preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA CFR 1926 and 1910 standards.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Safety Professional in industrial/power plant environments.
• OSHA 30/OSHA 500 or BCSP certifications preferred.
• Excellent oral, written and presentation skills to manage, train, motivate and communicate with employees and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor site safety programs and policies.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify hazards.
• Deliver EHS training programs for employees.
• Maintain records of training sessions and attendance.
• Prepare reports for management and regulatory agencies.
• Collaborate with other departments to promote integrated safety practices.
• Engage with external stakeholders including regulatory bodies and community organizations.
