Job summary

NEXPERA seeks an Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager for our Darrow, LA site. The role leads and sustains site-level EHS programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, acting as the primary environmental authority for the facility.

The position partners with site leadership to foster a strong safety culture, drive continuous improvement, and support operational excellence in a heavy-industrial setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental field required.
• 5+ years EHS experience in industrial/manufacturing setting.
• Strong knowledge of environmental regulations (state/federal).
• Experience with air, water, and waste programs (multi-media).
• PSM experience preferred; safety software knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local EHS regulations.
• Lead site environmental programs for air, water, and waste.
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies (OSHA, EPA, local).
• Manage permits, renewals, and reporting requirements.
• Support inspections, audits, and corrective actions.
• Maintain EHS management systems and recordkeeping.
• Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses.
• Support emergency preparedness and response planning.
