Job summary

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Central and Northern New Hampshire seeks a Site Director in Andover, NH to oversee daily operations of a youth program, supervise staff, manage facilities and budget, and foster community relations. The role emphasizes outcome-driven programming and safeguarding youth wellbeing.

You will lead leadership initiatives, oversee program development, participate in grant processes, and ensure high-quality services across elementary and after-school programs at the site.

Qualifications

• Must have leadership experience directing after-school or youth programs with outcome-driven objectives.
• Experience in budgeting, fundraising and grant-related activities is preferred.
• Proven ability to supervise staff, volunteers and partners across programs.
• Strong community relations and public outreach capability for program visibility.
• Ability to develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive youth programs and services.

Responsibilities

• Establishes site programs, activities, and services to prepare youth for success and create an outcome-driven Club experience.
• Promotes program participation, registers members, and provides guidance and role modeling to members.
• Ensures a healthy, safe environment with well-maintained facilities and supplies.
• Plans, implements, and evaluates overall programs to meet stated objectives and members' needs.
• Participates in grant applications and fundraising events; increases visibility of Club programs.
• Maintains daily contact with staff, members, and supervisors to exchange information and guidance.
• Develops and maintains partnerships; conducts public relations to increase visibility of programs.
• Leads recruitment, retention, and outreach efforts for partners, volunteers, members, and parents.
• Manages administrative systems, budget, and reporting; conducts regular staff meetings.

Associate’s degree in child development, education, recreation, or other field of study focused on children

Certification of successful completion of training as a recreation director plus 1000 hours of experience working with children in a licensed child care program, recreation program, or a public or private elementary school

A total of 12 credits in child development, education, recreation or other field of study focused on children, from an accredited college plus 1000 hours of experience working with children

Current certification as an educator by the Department of Education
