Job summary

YMCA of Greater New York is seeking a Site Director in Flatbush, Brooklyn to lead Afterschool and Summer Day Camp programs. You will ensure programs meet DOH, YMCA, and funder standards, while driving quality, communication, and collaboration across the site serving 100+ children.

You will recruit and develop staff, manage data entry and budgets, and build strong links with schools and the community. A bachelor’s degree in education and supervisory experience are required; a master’s is

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field.
• Master’s Degree in Education or related field preferred.
• Minimum of two years of supervisory experience.
• Experience working with youth in school-age programs.
• Computer literate; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PrintShop, etc.). Knowledge of AS400 database a plus.
• Current CPR, First Aid, or RTE certifications preferred.
• Must be available to work daytimes, weekends, and evenings, as needed.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, interview, hire, train, and supervise staff according to YMCA policies and best practices.
• Manage administrative issues such as data entry (AS400, YS.net, DYCD), HR, reports, snacks, space, and security.
• Ensure adequate supplies and equipment are available to operate a successful program.
• Promote literacy, multiculturalism, parent/guardian, and community involvement.
• Manage site budgets, revenue, and expenses.
• Maintain records for licensing, staff/child health and safety.
