Job summary

The Site Manager at YWCA Hartford Region leads the delivery of childcare programs at the site level, ensuring curriculum supports children's education and growth while safeguarding their safety and well-being.

This exempt role coordinates program management, site budgeting, compliance with licensing and accreditation standards, and staff supervision, with weekend/evening hours possible. You will collaborate with families, staff and external partners to deliver high-quality services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required, preferably in early childhood education, social work, psychology, human development, or related field.
• Minimum of five (5) years’ related experience in a child development program required.
• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in the classroom required.
• Demonstrated knowledge of state licensing and accreditation guidelines required.

Responsibilities

• Oversees program management, including planning and implementation of age-appropriate educational programs; ensures curriculum and lesson plans meet developmental needs.
• Monitors progress and adherence to the Intentional Teaching cycle and developmentally appropriate practices.
• Ensures staff compliance with Positive Guidance Policy and documentation through Inclusion Support Plan meetings.
• Manages site budget, grants payments, accounts receivable, and payables; supports recruitment and enrollment efforts; helps develop marketing plans.
