Job summary

YWCA Rock County is seeking an energetic Child Care Site Supervisor to oversee a 2–12 age group facility. The role includes morning and afternoon shifts, some evenings and weekends, and on-call duties. You will model the YWCA mission, supervise staff, and lead program development at the site.

The position requires licensing compliance, strong communication, and the ability to build a safe, stimulating environment while coordinating with parents and community partners.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent requirement.
• Experience in group activities and daily program planning (1–3 years).
• Ability to meet Wisconsin licensing requirements.
• CPR/AED certifications; or obtain during training.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the program in a positive safety-focused environment.
• Create and foster an activity-rich setting and develop weekly lesson plans.
• Supervise childcare staff: training, mentoring, scheduling, timesheets.
• Interact with children and parents to convey respect and trust.
• Maintain attendance, medical logs and site records; ensure licensing compliance.
• Coordinate communications with school personnel and support staff.
• Attend staff meetings and contribute to quality improvement.
