Job summary

YWCA Hartford Region seeks a Site Manager to direct childcare program delivery at the site level, ensuring curriculum and activities promote growth while safeguarding children's safety.

The role requires strong budget, staff supervision, and compliance skills, with hours Mon–Fri and occasional evenings/weekends. Relevant education and 5+ years in child development are expected; CPR/First Aid within two months is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, social work, psychology or related field.
• Minimum five years' experience in a child development program.
• Minimum three years' classroom experience.
• Knowledge of state licensing and accreditation guidelines.
• CPR/First Aid certification or within two months of employment.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee program management and planning of age-appropriate educational activities.
• Monitor curriculum and progress against developmental goals.
• Lead inclusion meetings and ensure documentation.
• Develop and monitor site budget and fiscal activities.
• Ensure health, safety, and compliance standards.
