Job summary

Douglas County is seeking a Site Development Admin I in Castle Rock, CO, to support the Department of Community Development's planning services. Qualifications

• Requires an Associate’s degree in a related field.
• At least one year of experience in planning, zoning, regulatory interpretation, landscape design, or related field.
• Combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Ensures compliance with zoning regulations, building codes, plat restrictions, and planned development guide standards through review of permit applications and related documents.
• Performs field evaluations on commercial, office, industrial, and multi-family projects and addresses inconsistencies between plans and site conditions.
• Provides final approval of Certificates of Occupancy and Compliance for commercial and multi-family structures.
• Ensures safety measures during construction phases and develops site-specific safety plans to mitigate risk.
• Processes sign permit applications and issues approvals based on compliance.
• Inspects signs post-installation for compliance with permits.
• Processes administrative variance requests and writes staff assessments.
• Assists with special projects and related tasks.
• Prepares required reports and maintains logs and records.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
