Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, environmental science, or related field is required.
• Erosion control and OSHA certifications are highly desirable and expected to be obtained within the first year of employment.
• Combination of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Conducts site inspections on moderately complex construction projects to ensure conformance to standards.
• Provides quality assurance for storm drainage and erosion/sediment control criteria.
• Collaborate with permittees to prevent pollution events and attain voluntary compliance when possible.
• Ensures public safety around construction sites.
• Attends preconstruction and erosion control kickoff meetings with contractors and developers.
• Assists Engineering Staff in review of development proposals.
• Performs walkthrough acceptance inspections and creates detailed reports.
