Eastern Excavating Co. Inc. is seeking a motivated Project Engineer to join our Savannah, GA team. You will work with Project Managers, Superintendents, surveyors, and subcontractors to keep projects organized, on schedule, and financially successful.

Responsibilities include coordinating layout, creating as-builts in Civil 3D, reviewing plans, and assisting with estimating and procurement. Strong communication and a proactive mindset are essential.

Formación

• 2+ years of experience in construction, civil/site work, or project engineering.
• Ability to read civil/site plans and construction drawings.
• Strong math and quantity-calculation skills.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D or equivalent software.
• Familiarity with Bluebeam and Procore is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate with surveyor on layout, grades, elevations, utilities, and as-builts.
• Build project surface files and generate survey points for layout.
• Review plans, specs, and construction documents.
• Identify discrepancies between plans and field conditions.
• Assist PMs with revisions, submittals, change orders, RFIs and correspondence.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and track installed quantities.
• Assist with project estimating, pricing, and procurement.
• Communicate professionally with general contractors, owners, engineers, inspectors, subcontractors, vendors and internal team members.
• Maintain organized project files from start to finish.
• Perform other duties to successfully manage and complete projects.
