Job summary

Eastern Commercial, the project-focused division of Eastern Companies, seeks a Project Engineer to support the execution of diverse construction projects across education, healthcare, hospitality, and more. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction-related field is required.
• 1–3 years of experience as project engineer or similar role preferred.
• Familiarity with pre-construction, scope development, and cost estimating desired.
• Experience with commercial construction projects preferred.
• OSHA 10-hour training (30-hour within 6 months) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, scheduling, and coordinating construction activities to meet milestones.
• Maintain project documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, and daily reports.
• Support cost tracking, forecasting, reviewing invoices, and procurement; assist with monthly owner billing.
• Assist with on-site safety program implementation and MSDS management.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
• Conduct site visits to assess progress and support field teams as needed.
• Facilitate clear communication among project stakeholders.
• Identify risks and propose solutions to keep projects on track.
• Support adoption of construction technology tools to boost efficiency and data accuracy.
