Job summary

Conagra Brands, Inc. is seeking an Electrical and Controls Engineering Lead to guide sitewide electrical control design, safety standards, and startup support for projects in a food manufacturing environment.

You will develop plant‑level control capabilities, troubleshoot automation issues, interface with maintenance and operations, and mentor teams through design reviews and commissioning. Relocation assistance is available for suitable local candidates.

Qualifications

BS in Electrical Engineering or related field with utilities experience.
3+ years in industrial control system design or programming.
Experience with Rockwell Automation platforms and software.
Knowledge of industrial networking and cybersecurity fundamentals.
Experience with building automation for HVAC and environmental controls.
Familiarity with MES/ERP integration and enterprise systems.
Strong collaboration and cross‑functional teamwork.
Demonstrated leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
Knowledge of food manufacturing regulations preferred.
Experience supporting capital projects and early‑phase estimates preferred.
Experience with third‑party automation integrators preferred.
Willingness for off‑shift and on‑call support.

Responsibilities

Serve as the site technical lead for electrical and control systems engineering.
Troubleshoot automation, control, and equipment issues to minimize downtime.
Provide backup technical support for the Electrical Team Leader during absences.
Develop and maintain sitewide standards for control hardware, software, and programming.
Program and maintain Rockwell control platforms (RSLogix, Studio 5000).
Configure and support network infrastructure and IP addressing.
Program variable frequency drives, servo systems, HMIs, and process devices.
Collaborate with engineering, technical, and procurement for capital planning.
Support control system obsolescence management and software updates.
Review front end loading packages for accuracy and effectiveness.
Provide on‑site technical support during design reviews and startups.
Support third‑party integrators and factory acceptance testing as needed.
