Job summary

NSI Industries seeks a Site Controller in Huntersville to lead financial operations at the distribution site. You will manage monthly statements, budgeting, and performance analysis, ensuring GAAP compliance and strong internal controls.

You'll oversee intercompany transactions, inventory valuation, and reporting, and lead a high-performing finance team while partnering with cross-functional groups to drive cost optimization and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Finance.
• 7–10 years in financial management; ≥5 years in manufacturing/distribution.
• CPA or CMA preferred.
• Advanced MS Excel skills for large data analysis and reporting.
• Strong GAAP knowledge.
• Proactive problem solver in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Job Title: Site Controller - Huntersville

Overview

NSI is searching for a Site Controller who will be responsible for managing the financial operations of our Huntersville distribution site. The Site Controller will help ensure compliance with accounting principles, internal controls, and company policies along with site metric reporting and special projects as needed. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management, with experience in a manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities include

• Managing financial reporting activities, including monthly financial statements, management reports, and ad hoc analysis
• Overseeing financial planning and analysis activities, including budgeting and variance analysis
• Monitoring and controlling site financial performance, including identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to optimize financial results
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement financial policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with company policies, and external regulations
• Managing intercompany transactions, inventory valuation, variance analysis and cycle counts
• Providing leadership and guidance to finance staff, ensuring the development of a high-performing team
• Managing relationships with external auditors and supporting audit requests
• Supporting capital expenditure planning, financial modeling, and analysis

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Finance
• Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in financial management, with at least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment
• CPA or CMA certification preferred
• Highly skilled in MS Excel (pivot tables, Vlookup, etc.) and the ability to quickly manipulate and analyze large data sets and build reports
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Demonstrated experience in financial modeling and analysis
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team
• Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Proactive problem solver willing to take initiative to offer solutions and identify opportunities before being asked.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
