Job summary

The State of New Hampshire - Division of Personnel is seeking a Construction Foreman in Shelburne to supervise, plan, and assign state construction projects. You will coordinate crews of maintenance or construction workers and contractors to build, repair, and maintain dams, buildings, and roadways, ensuring timely completion.

Your responsibilities include supervising crews, reading and interpreting plans, maintaining records, and enforcing safety, environmental, and industry standards.

Qualifications

• Equivalent combination of 4 years of education and experience after completion of high school.
• License/Certification: Valid Commercial Driver’s License Class A (CDL-A) with appropriate endorsements.
• Must meet MVR standards and pass pre-employment drug screen; must have a means of communication and be available 24 hours.

Responsibilities

• Supervises crews and coordinates construction work to build, repair, and reconstruct state facilities and roadways.
• Trains subordinates on safe construction practices; enforces safety and environmental standards.
• Maintains time/attendance records and personnel documentation; fosters harmonious working relations.
