Job summary

Turner Construction Company in Pittsburgh is seeking a seasoned Projects Supervisor to oversee field construction, organize, plan, and schedule work to meet time, budget, and quality targets. You will coordinate with owners, architects, and engineers to drive day-to-day activities.

Responsibilities include developing schedules with critical path, leading field staff, enforcing safety and ethics, managing permits, insurance, and billing processes, and ensuring work complies with contract

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with 4+ years' related training and 8+ years of building construction experience.
• Thorough knowledge of general and subcontract documents, drawings, specifications, construction means, methods and materials.
• Knowledge of construction cost control and basic accounting procedures.
• Experience with BIM and Lean technologies.
• Strong management, leadership and interpersonal skills; able to communicate well in writing and verbally.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement project work schedules identifying the critical path and expediting materials to site.
• Lead, supervise and develop Turner field staff and participate in performance appraisals.
• Ensure ethics and compliance with Turner standards and safety codes.
• Develop and manage the site safety program; ensure subcontractor compliance.
• Manage scheduling, delivery, logistics, quality control and staffing levels.
• Coordinate trades; resolve on-site issues and design clarifications.
• Obtain necessary permits and insurance; liaise with inspection agencies.
• Act as Stormwater Compliance Coordinator per Turner program.
• Oversee billing, WIP, payrolls, material invoices and subcontractor payments.
