Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking an experienced Construction Manager for a Pittsburgh project. You will supervise field construction, lead planning and scheduling, and manage costs to deliver the project on time, within budget, and to the required quality.

Responsibilities include coordinating with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors; implementing BIM and Lean practices; and ensuring safety and adherence to contract documents throughout the lifecycle of the project.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with minimum four years related training and at least eight years building construction experience.
• Thorough knowledge of general and subcontract documents, drawings, specifications, construction means, methods, and materials.
• Experience with BIM and Lean methods to benefit the project.
• Strong management, leadership and interpersonal skills with clear written and verbal communication.
• Knowledge of accounting and cost control procedures.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with owners, architects, and engineers for day-to-day construction activities.
• Develop and implement overall project work schedules identifying the critical path and expediting materials/equipment as needed.
• Lead and develop Turner field staff, including performance appraisals.
• Ensure strict adherence to ethics and compliance requirements.
• Develop and manage the site safety program and ensure subcontractor compliance with Turner standards and safety codes.
