Job summary
Stonefield Engineering & Design is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Site/Civil Engineering Team in Chicago. This full-time role requires a minimum of 4 years of site and grading design experience, with strong communication and organizational skills to manage complex public and private projects.

Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering is required.
- Must be a licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
- Minimum 3 years of site and grading design, zoning and site plan permitting experience.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is required.
- Ability to work effectively on a team.
- Strong communication and organizational skills are required.
- Self-motivated and proactive.
- Familiarity with Civil 3D, HydroCAD, or technical writing is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Teach and train entry-level to mid-level designers and analysts.
- Design site layout, grading, stormwater management, utilities, landscaping, lighting, and erosion control.
- Manage project scopes, zoning & land development permitting, and field inspections.
- Perform hydraulic/hydrologic design and site plan drafting.
- Prepare environmental impact assessments and project reports.
