Stonefield Engineering and Design, a full-service Professional Engineering and Consulting Firm, seeks a Design Engineer to join the Site/Civil team in Chicago. You will contribute to site layout, grading, stormwater management and utilities, working closely with project managers and clients.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, is proficient in AutoCAD, and brings strong communication and organizational skills along with self-motivation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with Civil 3D or HydroCAD is a plus.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Self-motivation and problem-solving mindset.

Responsibilities

• Design of site layout, grading, and stormwater management.
• Utilities design and coordination.
• Soil erosion and sediment control measures.
• Landscaping, lighting, and site amenities; project management including zoning and site plan permitting.
