Job summary

Dewberry is seeking a Site/Civil Project Engineer for its Danville, VA office to join the Land Development group. The role covers design from concept to permit and construction, collaborating with project managers and clients to deliver complete land development solutions.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in civil design, proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D, and strong communication skills. A Virginia PE is preferred; sponsorship is not offered at this time.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Civil Engineering or proven equal experience.
• Three+ years of direct Land Development design experience; five+ years preferred.
• Virginia PE license preferred; experience with Virginia land development projects preferred.
• Experience preparing reports, exhibits, and site/civil construction plans.
• Strong technical capabilities in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MS Excel/Word/Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Ability to deliver projects on time and within budget with varying complexity.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Preparation and coordination of Land Development design aspects.
• Works closely with Project Managers and jurisdictional staff.
• Mentors junior staff.
• Prepare plans, specifications, reports, and analyses.
• Project Manager sets milestones and monitors progress.
• Other duties as required.
