Job summary

Dewberry is seeking a Senior Project Manager with site/civil engineering design and management experience to join our Northern Virginia practice. This leadership role features oversight of complex land development and site/civil projects for commercial and public sector clients, with focus on delivering high-quality solutions and building strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive design and project management in land development/site-civil projects.
• Virginia PE license or equivalent required.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, stormwater modeling, and MS Office.
• Strong PM, budgeting, scheduling, and leadership of multidisciplinary teams.
• Extensive knowledge of local permitting and regulatory approval processes in Northern Virginia.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, design, and execution of site/civil engineering projects from concept through construction.
• Direct multidisciplinary design teams in all aspects of project delivery, including site layout, grading, stormwater management, and utilities.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring exceptional service and fostering long-term relationships.
• Lead business development initiatives, including client outreach, proposal preparation, and contract management.
• Identify opportunities to expand services with existing clients and enter new geographic and market sectors.
• Collaborate with Dewberry teams across the organization to deliver complex, high-impact projects.
• Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and staffing plans to drive performance.
• Guide projects through local, state and federal regulatory review processes.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and professional development for staff.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, quality, and continuous improvement.
