Job summary

Dewberry is seeking a Site/Civil Project Engineer in our Fairfax, Virginia office to support major public and institutional clients. You will contribute to civil design and land development, including grading, roadway design, water and sewer systems, and storm water management, working with a growing team.

The role requires a BS in Civil Engineering, at least 5 years of related experience, and a Virginia PE license.

Qualifications

• BS Degree in Civil Engineering or proven equal experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience directly related to the design and execution of Civil Infrastructure Projects.
• PE license in Virginia required.
• Experience in graphics, exhibits and Site/Civil Construction Plans.
• Strong technical expertise and capabilities in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Office and Bluebeam Revu.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and coordinate site/civil design elements.
• Work closely with the Project Manager and team to deliver projects.
• Supervise junior staff and manage project workflows.
• Mentor others in the use of Civil3D.
• Prepare construction documents (plans/specifications), reports, analyses and cost estimates.
• Ensure quality control and compliance with procedures.
• Confirm compliance with regulatory requirements and design standards.

This position requires experience in civil design/land development activities including: grading, roadway design, storm water management systems design, water distribution and sanitary sewer design, soil erosion & sediment control and utility design. Salary Range

The projected range for this position is $100,000-$143,000 annually in our Fairfax, VA office. Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly.
