Dewberry is seeking a Senior Project Manager with Site/Civil engineering design and leadership experience to join our Northern Virginia practice. You will guide complex land development projects from concept through construction, directing multidisciplinary teams and maintaining strong client relationships in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.

This role emphasizes growth, mentorship, and delivering innovative, high-quality solutions while managing budgets and schedules.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering from an accredited program.
• 10+ years in design and management of land development and site/civil projects.
• Virginia PE license.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, stormwater modeling, and MS Office.
• Strong PM skills and leadership of multidisciplinary teams.
• Extensive knowledge of local permitting/regulatory processes in Northern Virginia/DC metro.
• Construction administration capabilities.
• Excellent written, verbal, and client-facing communication.
• Mentoring staff and driving project success.
• Authorized to work in the United States; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design, and execution of site/civil projects from concept through construction.
• Direct multidisciplinary design teams in site layout, grading, stormwater, and related reports.
• Serve as primary client contact, fostering long-term relationships and exceptional service.
• Drive business development: client outreach, proposals, and contract management.
• Identify opportunities to expand services with existing clients and enter new markets.
• Collaborate with Dewberry teams to deliver complex, high-impact projects.
• Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and staffing plans.
• Manage subcontractors and vendor relationships.
• Guide projects through local, state and federal regulatory review processes.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and staff development.
• Foster collaboration, innovation, quality, and continuous improvement.
