Job summary

Langan is seeking an Intern – Site/Civil Engineer in Milwaukee, WI to support feasibility studies, field work, and design documentation for land development projects. The role offers exposure to planning, reports, and specifications under the guidance of senior engineers.

You will assist withAutoCAD/Civil 3D based design work, data collection, and calculations while gaining experience in pre-construction conditions and site development processes.

Qualifications

• Student actively pursuing a four year or advanced degree in Civil Engineering; GPA of 3.0+ preferred
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD or Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail with analytical, multitasking and judgment abilities
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment; travel may be required

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, design and permitting of civil engineering, land development and infrastructure projects.
• Assist with preparation and modification of reports, specifications, plans, schedules, cost estimates and design plans using AutoCAD, Civil 3D and related tools.
• Assess soil composition, terrain, hydrology and topo/geology data from reports, maps, drawings and tests for planning and design implications.
• Support zoning, ordinance and permit assessments, sidewalk estimations, and project feasibility analyses.
• Provide field inspection services as needed and collaborate with team members on project tasks.
