Job summary

Langan is seeking an Intern – Site/Civil Engineer to join its collaborative team in Chicago, IL. This individual will serve a key function in supporting site feasibility studies which may involve field work, technical report preparation and calculations, pre-construction conditions documentation, design plans and specifications.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a four-year or advanced degree in Civil Engineering; GPA preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, design and permitting of civil engineering and infrastructure projects.
• Assist with preparation/modification of engineering documents using AutoCAD, Civil 3D and related software.
• Evaluate soil, terrain, hydrological data and their impact on planning and design.
• Support zoning, permit assessments, and feasibility analyses based on data collected.
• Provide field inspection services as needed.
