Job summary

Waggoner Engineering, Inc. in Huntsville, AL (Birmingham option) seeks a Site Civil Engineer to join our Civil/Municipal team. Lead site design projects from concept through delivery, focusing on grading, drainage, utilities, and site layout.

Requires a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering, PE license or ability to obtain within six months, and 4+ years in civil/site design. This role offers a hybrid schedule, competitive benefits, and opportunities to impact communities.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
Active PE license or ability to obtain within six months.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in civil/site design, land development, or civil infrastructure.
Strong experience with grading, drainage, and utility design.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage civil/site projects from concept through design and delivery.
Prepare and oversee design for grading, drainage, utilities, and site layout.
Perform and review engineering calculations, plans, specifications, and reports.
Serve as engineer of record and ensure QA/QC on all deliverables.
Coordinate with architects, developers, and internal disciplines for integrated project delivery.
Manage project scope, schedule, and budget to ensure on-time, on-budget performance.
Mentor and support the development of junior engineers and designers.
Participate in client meetings and support proposal development.
