Responsibilities

• Lead and manage civil/site projects from concept through design and delivery.
• Prepare and oversee design for grading, drainage, utilities, and site layout.
• Perform and review engineering calculations, plans, specifications, and reports.
• Serve as engineer of record and ensure QA/QC on all deliverables.
• Coordinate with architects, developers, and internal disciplines for integrated project delivery.
• Manage project scope, schedule, and budget to ensure on-time, on-budget performance.
• Mentor and support the development of junior engineers and designers.
• Participate in client meetings and support proposal development.

Description

Waggoner Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Site Civil Engineer to join our team in our Birmingham, AL or Huntsville, AL office. This role supports our continued growth and offers the opportunity to work on (or support) meaningful projects alongside a collaborative, experienced team. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage civil/site projects from concept through design and delivery
• Prepare and oversee design for grading, drainage, utilities, and site layout
• Perform and review engineering calculations, plans, specifications, and reports
• Serve as engineer of record and ensure strong QA/QC on all deliverables
• Coordinate with architects, developers, and internal disciplines to support integrated project delivery

What you'll need

Preferred:

• Experience working with both private development and public-sector clients
• Familiarity with local permitting and regulatory processes
• Experience supporting business development or client relationship management
